Meet Candyce

BScN,RN, Holistic Nutritionist

I grew up in the rural community of Margaree in Cape Breton, where food, community, and nature were simply part of everyday life. Our milk and eggs came from the neighbour’s farm, and I worked in my family’s bake shop — where everything was made with high-quality ingredients using family recipes. Rolls just out of the oven or a slice of warm porridge bread often greeted us as we stepped off the school bus.

Those early experiences shaped my belief that good food, prepared with care, truly supports health and wellbeing.

That foundation led me first into nursing, earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Dalhousie University, and later into holistic nutrition through the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. My work bridges both worlds — evidence-informed healthcare alongside the belief that food and lifestyle can be powerful medicine, while always respecting when conventional care is needed.

My focus on menopause support became personal as I began navigating this transition myself and saw how many women felt unheard, confused, or unsupported — including me. Today, I’m passionate about helping women move through perimenopause, menopause, and beyond with clarity, confidence, and practical, compassionate guidance.

Outside my work, you’ll usually find me gardening, preserving herbs and foods, hiking, or near the ocean — the same simple things that first inspired my passion for natural health.

My work blends nursing expertise, holistic nutrition, and lived experience of midlife transition. I believe care should look at the whole woman — her symptoms, lifestyle, emotional wellbeing, and long-term health — not just lab values or isolated concerns.


Support here is thoughtful and evidence-informed. It respects the role of conventional medicine when needed, while also recognizing the powerful role nutrition, lifestyle, and compassionate guidance can play in helping women feel better.
